Today was our SNP MP candidate Phil Boswell’s candidate adoption afternoon, and it was great to see so many people give up their Sunday afternoon to come along and support him and the campaign in Coatbridge, Chryston, and Bellshill.
I was asked to say a few words at the event, so I thought I would share my speech here. Well, this is the speech I was supposed to deliver, but I forgot a wee bit at the end as I was delivering from memory…
I received a Scottish Labour campaign leaflet through my door this afternoon; I picked it up with an uncontrollable groan as I cast my eyes across more empty rhetoric on our supposed NHS crisis. NHS crisis klaxon is the new oil is running out klaxon, just in case you didn’t know.
I was just about to crumple it up and chuck it in the recycling bin when the imprint caught my eye:

I sent out a tweet several days ago voicing my disappointment at the way some Scottish politicians and councillors have been conducting themselves across social media, their behaviour often coming across as borderline abusive, derogatory, and somewhat troll-like.

A response to the tweet I posted led me to the blog of one Mr. Terry Kelly, a Labour councillor for Paisley West. I had never read this councillor’s blog before, and upon clicking the link I was absolutely disgusted and furious in equal measure.
